The covered sports floor is centred on football, allowing local teams to train when wind and winter conditions make outdoor pitches impractical. The building can also be hired by associations and for larger events, giving it a community function beyond routine practice. Its ownership through Andøy Flerbrukshall AS distinguishes it from a directly operated municipal gym.
