The hall provides a traditional setting for team training, physical education and scheduled local events. Its age and limitations have helped drive plans for a new multi-hall complex near Rjukanbadet, including a modern sports floor and gymnastics basishall. Rjukanhallen refers to the existing hall on Sam Eydes gate, not that proposed replacement.
